So I'm feeling guilty about not blogging at all lately. To alleviate some of that guilt, here are some pictures we took at opening day of Nonny and Grandad's pool.

There's been lots going on lately, including an update of our kitchen. Before and after pictures of that are coming soon, I promise! 4/13/2009 Over the last few days of Spring Break we went camping at Ray Roberts Lake. We went with a couple of other families from church and we all had a great time. The weather was beautiful, and there was fishing, hot dogs, and smores. I don't believe any fish were actually caught, but it was fun nonetheless. 3/23/2009 A month or so ago, Abby got to go to her first Daddy Daughter Dance. She was very excited about it, until the day before when she started running one of her patented fever but no other symptoms sicknesses. At that point we just gave her some ibuprofen and hoped for the best. She had an appointment with her cousin Phoenix to get her hair done and then we met Daddy and Andy for lunch before the dance. She really did look very beautiful, and she had a great time. Andy's been playing soccer, and he's doing great. Abby also recently had her Kindertot program, which is a ball handling class she's taking at school. Do you see her? She's there in the middle. (So it's not a great picture. It's the best I could do from as far away as I was sitting.) Andy also had his teddy bear parade at school. He made his shoebox into an army tank and we got army clothes for his bear. Last week was spring break and we went to my parents for a few days. It had rained quite a bit, so there was A LOT of mud for the kids to play in. They had a great time playing with their cousins. Did I mention there are puppies? Check this out: Seriously. 3/7/2009
So in my tradition of updating the blog two months after the kids' actual birthday, it's time to tell you all that Abby turned four on January 7th!!! It's hard to believe my baby is four years old. Time really does fly quickly. She is a beautiful girl, both inside and out. She loves to sing and dance, and loves to do gymnastics in the living room. She also has a really great memory and I'm convinced she could learn to read if I only knew how to teach her!
For her party, we had a swimming party at the athletic center, which was great because all the kids got to dig out their swimsuits in the middle of January. It was still a little cold in the water, as you can tell from Abby's blue lips in the second picture.

In addition, we also had the usual festivities at our house and Grandmama and Grandaddy's.

Happy Birthday, Abby Girl! 2/26/2009 I just got back from a two-week business trip to Singapore, and while I probably could have used a tall glass of the infamous drink by the above name, I never did try one. I did, however, work my tail off, spend 30+ hours traveling (each way), and become intimately familiar with the Admiral's Club in Tokyo, where I spent a total of 9 hours on layovers. I also had some time over the weekend to enjoy the sights. And to make sure they weren't left out of the adventure, Andy & Abby each sent a small stuffed animal with me so they could live vicariously through them (despite the fact that they have no idea what "vicariously" means). 2/16/2009 Before it gets too much later in the year, I wanted to post our 2008 Year in Review video. It's about 7 1/2 minutes long, and shows what we were up to last year. Be sure to check it out before the YouTube copyright nazis mute the soundtrack! Enjoy!
